Protecting the Alpha Husband Chapter 10

Chapter 10
Chapter 10

I had no idea that an alpha in their susceptibility period, without comfort, could turn into such a clingy, weepy mess.

You Yan had lost every trace of his usual elegance. He clung to me like an octopus, tears streaming down his face.

“I don’t want to go to the hospital. Diluting my pheromones hurts so much.

“Liang Sen, I really like you.

“You look so attractive when you’re in love.

“I used to wonder, if you were loved, what would you be like.

“But I screwed it all up, boohoo…

“Liang Sen, you’re not going to leave me, are you?

“You won’t ignore me in the future, right?

“It took so much to finally trick you into staying with me…”

I let out a long sigh and rubbed my aching temples.

“You Yan, is your suppressant wearing off again?”

I could clearly feel his body temperature rising as he wrapped himself tighter around me.

He went quiet again.

I managed to free one hand and shook the box of suppressants. Judging by the sound, there was only one dose left.

“Hey, you’re almost out of suppressants. Where can I get more?”

That, at least, got his attention.

“They’re custom-made for me. You can’t buy them anywhere.”

“Then contact your family and have them send some over.”

“…”

Impossible to communicate with this guy!

His damn assistant still wasn’t answering my calls. Next time I saw him, I was definitely going to give him a piece of my mind.

On You Yan’s pale, smooth arm, five or six red needle marks stood out starkly.

I fiddled with the last syringe, blurting out, “What if one day you become completely immune to these?”

He snuggled against my chest, mumbling, “Let’s just use it for now.”

The golden liquid swirled in the thin tube. I stared at it, lost in thought.

Maybe I held still too long, because You Yan lifted his face, confusion in his eyes.

He said he wanted to see what I’d be like if I were loved.

But even I’d never dared to imagine it.

Could I trust him? Could I hope for something more?

I put down the suppressant and looked into his warm, amber eyes.
