Her gentle revenge was to live well chapter 09

One child versus my two—my kids carry far more weight than yours.
By the way, your mother-in-law isn’t feeling well. Why don’t you go and take care of her? I can’t be bothered.”
Outside, rain pours and thunder rumbles. My mother-in-law has caught a cold, but I have no intention of playing the dutiful daughter-in-law.

I’ve used every method at my disposal to drain Chen Ming’s cash flow.
Don’t underestimate the power of designer bags and watches—today, 100,000 yuan; tomorrow, 200,000 yuan. It all adds up.
By my calculations, between assets and cash, I now have over twenty million yuan at my disposal. I’m just waiting for the final blow.

Meiling soon handed me the knife herself: a DNA report proving the child in her belly is Chen Ming’s.
I officially asked Chen Ming for a divorce, citing his extramarital affair, and demanded a share of the company’s equity.
When I made my demand, his eyes turned stormy, but I met his gaze without flinching.
This was my fifth move.

He had no room to argue; I had him cornered.
If he refused to give me company shares, he would have to pay a lump sum in child support for both children.
But his cash flow had already been drained by both Meiling and me. He couldn’t pay.
At the same time, I sued Meiling to return all the property, gifts, and cash Chen Ming had given her over the past two years—totaling over six million yuan.
The problem was, she’d already spent most of it on her gambling father. She couldn’t pay, so she turned to Chen Ming, who was already overwhelmed.
This was my sixth move.

Chen Ming stared at me as if he didn’t recognize me. “How did you become like this?”
What kind of question is that? Did he expect me to just take it lying down?
I smiled brightly. “You made me this way. Ten years of hard work, and you dismissed me as worthless.
You never respected our marriage. With Meiling, you didn’t even bother to keep up appearances.
Thankfully, I’m smart enough to cut you out of my heart in an instant.”

His eyes burned with anger. “Don’t think I won’t sue you to get my money back.”
I smirked, unfazed. “Chen Ming, I have the children behind me. You can’t touch me. Don’t bother threatening me.”

Meiling couldn’t pay and refused to sell her house, so she pressured Chen Ming to find a solution.
I didn’t forget to send his relatives, friends, and business partners evidence of his two-year affair, including all the harassment from Meiling.
After two years of suffering in silence, everyone felt sorry for me. No one was willing to help him.

On the day the court enforced the judgment, Chen Ming blocked our door, begging me to drop the lawsuit.
I used everything I’d learned in taekwondo. With all my strength, I flipped him over my shoulder and sent him sprawling to the ground.
In that moment, a storm raged inside me. I stood quietly, looking down at him.
Finally, I said the words I’d dreamed of saying for so long: “Trash.”

Meiling showed her true colors. She sued Chen Ming, claiming he had tricked her and even raped her the first time.
The police asked why she hadn’t reported it at the time. She said Chen Ming had given her 50,000 yuan in hush money.
When they asked why she was pursuing it now, and why she’d continued the relationship, she answered, “Because he doesn’t have any money anymore.”
The police laughed—they’d probably never seen anything so shameless.

The court didn’t accept her criminal complaint due to lack of evidence, but they did grant our divorce. I was awarded 51% of the company’s shares.
I hired a professional manager to run the business. Chen Ming could stay on, but he had no decision-making power and no access to company funds.
He knelt in the rain, begging for a second chance, but I just walked past him, holding my children’s hands.
