When my wife refused to acknowledge our daughter at the sports day, I divorced her on the spot Chapter 06

Her voice cracked, almost shrill:
“You’re my company’s employee—why are you listening to him?”
Zhu Yang’s face twisted in bewilderment and disbelief:
“Director Meng, have you lost your mind? Mu Jun is obviously just a freeloader!”

“Mr. Zhu,” Meng Xuan calmly pulled a stack of documents from his crocodile-skin briefcase, “last month, you spent two million yuan on a private event at the Wynn Palace in Macau, and it was charged to Shengxing’s entertainment expense account, wasn’t it?”
“If anyone’s living off someone else, isn’t it you?”
“If you dare insult my employer again, would you like to receive a court summons?”

Zhu Yang’s expression froze.
The entire playground fell eerily silent. The parents who had been pointing and whispering about me all gasped in unison.

“Mr. Mu, here is the equity transfer agreement,” Meng Xuan handed me another folder. “As you instructed, all of Shengxing’s technology patents have been frozen, and the bank accounts are under court protection. All your investments have been fully withdrawn.”

Liang Mei frantically rushed forward and snatched the folder. Her hands trembled as she flipped through the documents, her carefully applied mascara smudging into black streaks under her eyes.
“This is fake! It has to be fake!”
Her voice shook:
“How could you really destroy Shengxing…?”

Zhu Yang, utterly confused, leaned in anxiously and demanded:
“Didn’t you always say you built the company from nothing?
How can a freeloader like him withdraw his investments? Where did he get that kind of money?”

“Shall I remind you?” Meng Xuan suddenly smiled. “Who signed as the guarantor for your 80-million-yuan bridge loan last year?”
Zhu Yang’s face turned ashen.
He remembered that signature—the bold, flowing characters: Mu Jun. At the time, he’d even laughed, arm around Liang Mei’s waist: “You’re letting a freeloader be the guarantor? That’s allowed?”

“So it was you!”
The woman who had mocked me earlier—Mrs. Li—was so shocked she blurted out:
“At last week’s charity gala, the city officials waited all night for the mystery investor…”
Her jeweled finger, trembling, pointed at me.
“It was you!”

“No wonder you looked so familiar!”
Gasps rippled through the crowd. No one had expected the situation to flip so dramatically.

Nearby, the spoiled Zhang heir’s phone clattered to the ground, his face a mix of shock and fear.
“No way… He’s for real? My dad is going to kill me…”

Liang Mei’s back was drenched in sweat. She grabbed my hand, her diamond wedding ring—the one I gave her when I proposed—shining brightly.
Now, she finally understood the reality. Her voice was desperate:
“Husband, let’s go home. I’m not feeling well…”

I pried her fingers off mine, one by one, and looked down at her, my smile icy.
“Not so fast. We haven’t settled the accounts yet, and the divorce papers haven’t been signed. Why the hurry?”

Liang Mei shuddered. Her perfect updo came undone, and her clothes were soaked with sweat.
The woman who had once commanded respect in the business world was now trembling on a sunny June day.

The parent-child sports day was in complete chaos.
The principal was pacing in circles, utterly at a loss.
Caught between powerful figures, he didn’t even dare call an end to the event—he could only watch as the drama unfolded.

“Zhang Jing—permanently removed from the cooperation list,” I flicked the document with my finger, the A4 paper glinting coldly in the sunlight.
“Mrs. Li’s jewelry company…”
