Rebirth Exposing My Scheming Boyfriend Chapter 02

Chapter 02
Chapter 02

“Silly girl, we’ll be together forever. Don’t overthink it—just focus on your exam.”

I turned and walked toward the exam hall. On the way, I ran into the student ranked second in our grade, and bought his spare pen at a high price.

It was expensive, but at least it was a regular pen. Passing by a classroom door, I also picked up a bottle of red ink.

Heaven was on my side. In my previous life, besides Lin Chen, the real culprit behind my downfall was standing right in front of me—Xu Yiran.

Xu Yiran was lining up to enter the exam room, scanning the crowd for me.

When she saw the pen case in my hand, she smiled with relief and even waved at me.

“Yiran, what happened to your dress?” a classmate suddenly exclaimed.

Xu Yiran turned and saw an unmistakable red stain on the hem of her skirt.

That was my “accidental” handiwork.

Her face went pale. In a panic, she handed her pen case to a classmate and rushed to the restroom.

“I’ll take Yiran’s pen case to her seat—her desk is right next to mine,” I said before anyone could react, and took Xu Yiran’s pen case.

Of course, I swapped the pen inside with the one Lin Chen had given me—the one with the disappearing ink.

In my previous life, I scored only 280 points on the exam using that pen.

Except for the essay, which I wrote with my fountain pen, I used the disappearing ink pen for all the other subjects.

It was the lowest score I’d ever gotten. Even when I insisted I hadn’t plagiarized the essay, it was useless.

I couldn’t prove my innocence—no matter how I tried to explain, no one believed me.

The university acceptance letter that should have been mine slipped away just like that.

Worse, Xu Yiran and Lin Chen cemented the story that I had cheated.

Every high school blacklisted me, and I lost the chance to repeat my senior year.

Xu Yiran even posted about my “academic dishonesty” online, and during a TV interview, she said, “Yun Qing’s grades were always fake. As her classmate, I could have pursued legal action, but I chose not to. Still, her plagiarism caused real harm.”

“I hope she’ll apologize to me face-to-face, instead of hiding at home like a coward. She owes an explanation to her classmates, teachers, the school, and society.”

“ Yun Qing , I know you’re watching TV right now. You can fake your grades, but you can’t fake your character. You can’t hide forever. Only by facing punishment can you live up to the expectations of those who believed in you.”

For a while, I was bombarded with insults and abuse.

Xu Yiran, dressed in a white dress, leaned into Lin Chen’s arms after the interview, looking pitiful and aggrieved.

Lin Chen gently patted her back, comforting her as she pretended to be wronged.

Meanwhile, I—the only true victim—sat at home, enduring the scorn and ridicule of reality, while online attacks never stopped.
